What the demo shows
One task, start to finish, on the kind of export a finance team gets every month. Nothing invented for effect.
- The export. Title rows above the data, a missing column header, the department only on the first row of each block, dates and amounts stored as text, subtotals inside the data and footer rows at the bottom.
- The pivot that will not build. The point where somebody usually opens a new sheet and starts a workaround that gets rebuilt every month.
- Copilot reshapes it. The file described to Copilot the way you would describe it to a colleague, and the clean table that comes back.
- The report. A summary by department and month, formatted to put in front of a director.
- The follow-up question. Which suppliers grew the most between April and July, answered with Excel formulas you can check.
